Dr. Rajeev Singh a visionary mentor guiding India’s retail investors with discipline and modern trading wisdom

Dr. Rajeev Singh recently sat down with our editorial team for an exclusive interview to discuss his new book, The Secrets of Stocks. Calm yet passionate, Singh spoke about his journey, his mission, and why he believes Indian retail investors deserve better tools to succeed in today’s markets.

Born into a humble family in northern India, Dr. Singh grew up watching his father balance household responsibilities with integrity and discipline. Those early lessons shaped his outlook: education, perseverance, and service to others. From a young age, he was fascinated by the stock market — not just the thrill of price movements, but the deeper logic of how wealth is created and destroyed.

After graduating from IIT Bombay, he pursued advanced studies at the Wharton School of Business, earning a PhD in Finance. His academic excellence led him to J.P. Morgan, where he worked as a stock trader and private fund manager, overseeing portfolios exceeding $6 billion. During this time, he achieved financial freedom and gained firsthand experience of the sophisticated — and often ruthless — mechanisms of global capital markets.

Despite his success abroad, Dr. Singh felt a calling to return home. “India gave me everything,” he told us. “It is my duty to give back.” Five years ago, he began mentoring retail investors, conducting workshops, and building communities of disciplined traders. What he discovered was sobering: most retail investors were losing money, not because they lacked effort, but because they lacked structured strategies and risk management.

His new book, The Secrets of Stocks, is his answer. Singh describes it not merely as a guide, but as a manifesto for empowerment. Drawing on decades of experience, he explains:

How market operators and institutions influence price movements

How to recognize traps and avoid emotional trading

How to set target prices and stop-loss levels with discipline

How Indian investors can build strategies suited to local realities

“Stock tips may give short-term gains,” Singh emphasized, “but true success comes from knowledge, discipline, and confidence. My goal is to empower investors to stand strong on their own. Profits will follow naturally.”

He also highlighted his teaching methods: Singh introduced three practical strategies — the Big Green Candle, Turtle Trading Rules, and RSI Bullish Divergence. These, he explained, are just the beginning. His book expands on such methods, offering structured lessons that retail investors can apply immediately.

Dr. Singh’s vision is clear: to make The Secrets of Stocks the most trusted textbook for Indian retail investors, and to help them transform their financial futures. His story is one of return, responsibility, and redemption. His mission, he insists, is only beginning.

“Knowledge is the real treasure,” he concluded. “And I want every Indian investor to have it.”

Jai Hind.
